St. Mark's Photos
St. Mark's just spent a great deal of time in the search for a new rector. In that time an interim priest was in place and in that time he and his wife were very much loved by all in the congregation. So it seemed appropriate to have a nice reception honoring both the new incoming Rector and the interim who had seen the church through these difficult times. So Hail to Father Bill Barfield and his wife Susan, and a fond Farewell to Father Rodge Wood and his wife Rosie. Hare are a few pictures from that reception: Use your browser's "Back" button to return to this page
On October 19th the Bishop dropped in to see us and following the service, we had an informal reception and again I dropped in with my camera: Use your browser's "Back" button to return to this page
There are so many ways to participate in the activities available to all at St. Mark's. Yet, there remains one for the adults, the Adults' Night Out or the ADO. Some would argue that the acronym comes from and merely means, as it did in Shakespeare's time and romantic comedy of the same name, "Much ADO About Nothing." It's a potluck dinner that rotates on an almost monthly schedule to one of the homes of the families who decide they want to host the party. It's always good food, and usually silly but sometimes merely inane conversation about nothing in particular.
But all that changes, sort of, kind of, at Christmas time when tradition more or less dictates that the Christmas ADO will be held in the lovely home of Bruce and Sue Moss. They have lots of room for the only planned ADO activity of the year, our silly gift exchange. Everyone brings a goofy gift, but sometimes folks can't help themselves and a nice jar of candy, a pair of mittens, or even as you will see . . . oh well let's just look at the photos . . . and as always: Use your browser's "Back" button to return to this page
